New patients

Your first visit, step by step

We're accepting new patients. No referral is needed. Bookings are made through Jane, our online booking site. Here's everything you need to know before you come.

Three steps to your first visit

  1. 01

    Book online or call

Choose your visit on Jane (external site) (our online booking site) any time, or call 204-515-6283 and we'll help you choose.

  2. 02

    Fill in your forms

If Jane (external site) sends you intake forms after booking, complete them before you come. It leaves more of the visit for you.

  3. 03

    Come in (or log on)

Arrive a few minutes early to 9B-90 Brandt Street, or join your virtual visit from the link Jane (external site) sends.

First naturopathic visit

The accelerated two-part visit

Your first naturopathic visit can be done in two parts. We introduced the accelerated visit as a way to reduce the wait time to see the naturopathic doctor, because we understand that prompt care matters.

  1. 01

    Nurse intake

For up to 60 minutes, a registered nurse takes your health history, current concerns, medications and vital signs.

  2. 02

    Naturopathic doctor

For 30 minutes, the ND completes the assessment and works out a plan you feel good about.

Ask the front desk at 204-515-6283 about booking the two-part visit.

What to bring

  • A list of your medications and supplements, with doses, if not included in your intake forms
  • Any recent test results, imaging or specialist letters
  • During cancer treatment: your pathology information, the names of any cancer medications, and recent test results
  • For exercise physiology: comfortable clothes and supportive shoes

Paying and insurance

You pay at the end of each visit. We don't direct bill insurers, so you'll get a receipt that you may submit to your extended health plan. Check with your insurer to see what your benefits cover.

Questions

New patient questions

Still unsure?

Call the front desk and we'll help you decide which appointment to book, and we can often find a place to fit you in that may not be visible in online booking.

All questions

Which appointment should I book first?

Start with the initial visit for whichever practitioner you are hoping to see. If you're unsure, call 204-515-6283. If you are hoping to get in sooner than you see online, call the clinic and we may be able to get you in sooner.

What is the accelerated two-part visit?

Your first naturopathic visit can be split in two. A registered nurse completes your intake first (health history, current concerns, medications and vital signs), then you continue with the naturopathic doctor, who goes over it with you, completes the assessment and works out a written plan with you. Initial visits are 60 to 90 minutes: up to 60 minutes with the nurse, then 30 minutes with the ND. It usually means you can get in to see the ND sooner. These visits are only booked through the clinic directly, not offered in the online booking portal (Jane (external site)).

Do I need testing before my first visit?

No.

Can I come in person and then do follow-ups by video?

Yes. Just let us know if you're hoping to book in person or virtually (video or phone call).

Will you share information with my family doctor?

We keep all your information confidential unless you request we share it. In that case, we will happily share it with your other care providers. We encourage you to keep your providers "in the know" so you get the best care.
