FAQ
Questions we hear every week
Visits
How much time will I get with the naturopathic doctor?
The first visit is 60 to 90 minutes (in a two-part visit, up to 60 minutes with a registered nurse, then 30 minutes with the ND) and follow-ups are generally 30 or 45 minutes. In some cases testing or imaging is needed before your ND can reach a diagnosis. Your ND creates a written plan with you that fits your life.
What is the accelerated two-part first visit?
Your first naturopathic visit can be done in two parts: a registered nurse completes your intake (health history, current concerns, medications and vital signs), then you continue with the naturopathic doctor, who goes over it with you, completes the assessment and works out a written plan with you. It usually means you can get in to see the ND sooner. See new patients.
What might prompt someone to book?
Common reasons include fertility concerns, fatigue, digestive concerns such as IBS, mood and stress, hormonal concerns and pain. You don't need a diagnosis to book. See all services.
Can I book acupuncture as a new patient?
Yes. New patients coming for acupuncture can book a 45-minute visit that includes the assessment and the first session. This is at the clinic's discretion, as some concerns take longer to assess.
Do you offer virtual visits?
Yes, for adults and children. Dr. Jayden Dobson, ND sees patients by virtual visit only. See virtual visits.
